Hello creative souls!
It's Monika here and for today's post I'm bringing you a step by step Video Tutorial showing how to create this summer inspired Mixed Media Wall Art with Little Birdie and Lindy's Gang (Flat Magicals and Magical Shakers).
I needed to make a gift for my friend, she is a huge fan of bright colours and floral decorations, so I decided to recycle some plastic lids to make these wall art pieces. These can be easily hanged on the wall or can be installed using double sided tape (these pieces are very light weighted not more than 300 gm each one).
Now come to the basic process of making these altered art pieces. For making background I adhered ordinary tissue paper (from my kitchen) using diluted white glue. Then I covered both pieces with white Gesso. After drying them completely, used Lindy's Flat Magical and Magical Shakers to create colourful backgrounds on both lids.
After drying, I used different types of die cut elements along with beautiful embellishments from Little Birdie (Chipboard, Sisal Fibre and handmade Flowers) and made a composition on the left side of both lids. To finish them, added some more details using Prima- Finnabair Art stones and some more supplies, which you can see in the step by step video tutorial, shared on our Academy's YouTube channel.
I hope you all will like my creations.
