I am so excited to show you my first project as an Academy member. Here is my project for the January mood board. I have made a greeting card, with Layers.
As I looked at the mood board and thought about January, it was clear to me that I wanted to combine the warmth of the brown colors with the cold of January.
So I created the scene in the card: a forest on a snowy day, with a small wood cabin, and next to it a cute rabbit that looks up to the sky and enjoys the sight of falling snowflakes.
First of all I made the background, I created the blue winter evening sky with distress ink. In addition, I sprinkled a little white acrylic paint for snowflakes and also added a few drops of novo (snow).
The cabin is a digital stamp painted with copic markers. Originally, the stamp is with spring blossoms, which I cut and concealed with nuvo snow drops. At the top of the roof I connected a bell that rings when the card moves.
I made the trees from a die cut pattern and painted with copic markers. To give a sense of depth, I colored the trees in different tones, darkening to light. I also sprinkled a few drops of nuvo (snow drops) on the trees.
The ground is made by die cut pattern, painted with copic markers, and covered with nuvo snow drops.
I created the layers by pasting the cuts one above the other with spongy double-sided glue. In each layer, I glued the various items (rabbit, trees, log cabin).
Finally, I glued to a cover I made the base with all the layers and figures. I cut a rectangle as a frame for the card.
For more details on the products I used (stamps, Die cuts, distress inks, numbers of copic marker, etc) you can find on my Facebook page and on my Instagram.
